Your contribution can help our dancers reach new heights!
Your contribution to Melbourne School of Classical Dance assists us to provide the best training and performance opportunities for our students, to maintain and improve our facilites, and to give a helping hand to promising young dancers.
Gifts, no matter how large or small, are appreciated and all contributions will be recognised through our annual concert program and website. Giving falls in to two categories - personal gifts and corporate sponsorship. Corporate sponsors will receive return advertising in our program, and if they so wish in our quarterly newsletter.
A gift to Melbourne School of Classical Dance can make a vital difference to the life of our dancers. Your gift assists the school in four main areas:
Classes
Giving towards our classes can help fund live accompaniment for more classes or enable us to invite renowned guest teachers to inspire our students and help them reach new heights. It can also give our regular teachers the vital opportunity to attend professional development opportunities to refresh and inspire them - the rewards of course are passed on to the students!
Facilities
As our school grows and our students advance in their skills, our need for improved facilites is growing. Giving towards our facilities may assist us to purchase the special dance floor Tarkett, hire an additional studio, develop our student library or even give the school a fresh coat of paint!
Scholarships
In 2010 we had four promising young dancers on scholarships - a total value of approximately $4,500. We would also like in the future to provide need-based scholarships so that talented young dancers can receive proper training regardless of background or financial status. Your gift towards our scholarships can help more aspiring young dancers access the neccessary training to pursue their dreams!
Productions
No dancer's training would be complete without real stage experiece. Each year, Melbourne School of Classical Dance hosts an annual concert to give its students performance opportunities. Our major costs in production are theatre hire, costumes, scenery, and professional staff.
